Welcome!

You made it…here we go!  In just over a month, we’ll be headed off to Boston!  This blog is where we’ll be having conversations each week as we prepare to go to Boston together.  Make sure you check in a few times every week to post your response to the questions and to participate in the conversation with your fellow team members.  Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

    Dear Joel.

I don’t know what I did wrong, but I couldn’t find where to blog..
So I’m hoping that I can do my blog this way.

The first chapter of the book “Wonder, Fear, and Longing” was great, I had trouble putting it down. Even though the first chapter made think about my life and my friends and family, I started to cry. I may act like everything is wonderful when I come to church, but everyone has something on their mind. Me, I always have stuff one my mind, but I have never read a book that has ever come close to how I feel, that book, is beyond words. The Prayer made my heart weep, the Scripture made my eyes open, and the Meditation part made me reflect on my life. Great choice in books.

    Hello,

“Wonder,Fear, and longing” what can say about first chapter bad,no,good, closer, very good, almost, best chapter I have ever read i my life, there we go. I found that the contemplation were relaxing, I almost fell asleep,(i think it was 10:00pm) and that I could feel God all around me. I think the best line in this chapter was “God knows that every human needs love.” That line spoke to me we need love and when we dont get loved we do something to replace it (drug, violence, and a lot more). Thought about that line all week. Love is more than a feeling it a most have for every living thing. We need love to live. You must be thinking “oh we don’t need love to live” then how do you explain all the people killing themselves over being bullied. Well God loves everyone and I think that people do bad stuff because they don’t have Christ in their lives.

    God bless,
    Quentin Z.

    Dear Joel,

The second chapter was just as good as the first, and again it was hard to put this book down.

Knowing that some people have the same problem in their life as I do,is like knowing, your not alone. It’s nice to know that your not head over heels in problems by your self. And so again I say thank you for a great choice.

    Hannah,
